What will I be doing?
As a Food & Drinks Supervisor, the primary purpose of this role is to oversee the day-to-day operations of Bull & Bear Lunch and Dinner service, ensuring smooth service delivery, effective team performance and a consistently exceptional dining experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
1. Exceptional Customer Experiences
- Take ownership of service delivery in your section, anticipating customers’ needs and ensuring service sequences are followed consistently and efficiently to provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of menus and daily specials to advise customers on dishes, ingredients, portion sizes and beverage options.
- Ensure that food allergies and dietary requirements are treated with absolute seriousness by all Team Members.
- Contribute to achieving restaurant revenue targets through upselling.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary and bar teams to ensure all orders are correct, well-presented and delivered on time.
- Carry out customer satisfaction checks and take prompt action to improve service and resolve complaints, supporting your team where needed.
- Uphold Forbes Five-Star service expectations, ensuring every guest interaction reflects the hotel's commitment to personalised, attentive and seamless service, particularly within the distinctive dining environment of Bull & Bear.
2. Great Working Environment
- Support, train and develop your team, creating an inclusive environment where all Team Members can thrive.
- Deliver informative and motivational shift briefings, sharing relevant updates and feedback.
- Assign daily tasks, ensuring each Team Member understands their responsibilities, and supervise performance throughout the shift.
3. Day-To-Day Essentials
- Ensure that you and your team strictly comply with all regulations and standards, including health, safety and hygiene requirements.
- Set up your section for service, ensuring that equipment, guest areas and work areas are kept clean and tidy throughout the shift.
- Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the POS system at the time of order, billing is accurate, and cash handling complies with hotel guidelines.
- Assist in monitoring and restocking inventory.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to the F&D leadership team to improve guest and team experiences, operational efficiency and service standards.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities:
- Previous experience in a premium steakhouse or upscale, wine-focused food and drinks venue is an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of luxury and Forbes Five-Star service standards.
- Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or related field.
- At least one year of supervisory experience.
