Roles & Responsibilities
Garrett Middle East is seeking a motivated Techno-Commercial Engineer with a solid background in presales and technical solutions within the security and ELV industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting sales activities, providing technical expertise in metal detection and X-ray baggage scanners, and ensuring customer satisfaction by offering tailored solutions for complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Presales Support:
• Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical insights during the presales process.
• Prepare technical proposals, product configurations, and system designs tailored to customer needs.
• Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with product teams to stay updated on the latest innovations and features in Garrett’s metal detection and security products.
Technical Expertise:
• Provide expert knowledge of metal detection systems, X-ray baggage scanners, and other Garrett security products.
• Configure and optimize solutions for various environments, ensuring seamless integration into existing security infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and offer effective solutions to clients both remotely and on-site.
• Stay up to date with advancements in ELV systems and integrate them into solutions when applicable.
Project Management & Coordination:
• Oversee project implementations from a technical perspective, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Work closely with the engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and system layouts.
Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients by providing excellent technical support and post-sales services.
• Act as a technical advisor to clients, ensuring that their needs are met with the best possible solutions.
• Provide after-sales support, including system upgrades, training, and troubleshooting.
Market Analysis & Business Development:
• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities within the Middle East region,
particularly in security projects involving ELV systems, metal detectors, and X-ray scanners.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to enhance Garrett’s product offerings and positioning.
• Assist in drafting commercial proposals that align technical solutions with client budget constraints and project needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, or a related technical
field.
• 3-5 years of experience in presales and technical roles, preferably within the
security industry (ELV, metal detection, X-ray baggage scanners).
• Strong understanding of ELV systems and their integration with security
technologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex technical
concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software is a plus.
• Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
